This situation probably sounds familiar to you. You have a product on Amazon, either recently launched or possibly months (or years!) old. Maybe you’re earning decent sales, but you wonder if your product is reaching the right customers. Or maybe you question if it could perform better against its competitors.
All of the answers to those questions can be found in how your product ranks for various keywords, so how do you keep an eye on all that data?
Introducing Jungle Scout’s Rank Tracker.
What is Rank Tracker?
Rank Tracker is one Jungle Scout’s powerful features, and it allows you to monitor how your Amazon product listings are performing in search rankings over time.
How does it work?
Within moments, you can generate a keyword list and see where your product ranks for various search terms compared to your competitors. And the keyword lists you use can either come from lists generated in Rank Tracker’s partner tool, Keyword Scout, or from those you enter manually.
From there, you assign keywords to product-specific groups and track them as your product builds momentum.
Not only do these groups help you organize your tracked keywords, but they also allow you to glean insights that will help you better optimize your listings and PPC spend, and earn more profit per product.
How can Rank Tracker help you?
Like all of the tools included with Jungle Scout, Rank Tracker is a multipurpose tool capable of fulfilling the needs of many different sellers and their strategies.
Here are a few ways Rank Tracker can power up your Amazon FBA business.
Rank Tracker Features:
Know your rank. First, generate a keyword list in seconds using Keyword Scout. Next, input the list into Rank Tracker. Whether you’re #1 or #50, you’ll see exactly where your product ranks organically on Amazon’s search engine pages.
Track your competitors. Keyword rank tracking isn’t limited to your own products. You can also put your competitors’ ASINs into the tracker to see the keywords they rank for. You can then use these insights to adjust your own strategy.
Monitor child ASINs. Knowing how a product’s variations are performing just became a whole lot easier. You can add multiple items to Rank Tracker so you can start tracking them at the same time.
Maximize your data analysis. Rank Tracker enables you to select preset filters, giving users actionable insights. It can also help prevent data paralysis!
Note changes to rank. By allowing users to note changes to rank and view them on the product’s ranking graph, Rank Tracker helps sellers determine which variables are affecting the item’s rank.
Find new opportunities. Are you missing out on keyword opportunities? Keyword rank tracking is important, and Rank Tracker can show you profitable keywords for which you don’t rank (and might be missing sales). Once you know these keywords, you can optimize your listing accordingly.
Eliminate inefficient keywords. If your product is ranking for irrelevant non-converting keywords, or if you’re overspending on non-ranking keywords, you can choose to cut those keywords. It will save you hundreds or thousands of dollars every month.
Organize your products and lists. Rank Tracker saves all of your keyword ranking information into product groups, allowing you to add or delete keywords as you continue to improve your products’ keyword lists.
Achieve Top 50 or even Top 10 status. Using Rank Tracker, you can discover how many different keywords your product ranks for within the top 10 and top 50 organic search results. keyword rank tracking
Manage your keywords all in one place. Thanks to Jungle Scout’s streamlined functionality, Rank Tracker works automatically with Jungle Scout’s other tools. Without leaving the tool, you can navigate to Keyword Scout, enter a keyword related to your product, and watch as Keyword Scout gives you hundreds of suggested keywords. After you save the list, you can load it into Rank Tracker — all with just a few clicks.
How to get started with Rank Tracker
Rank Tracker is a feature of Jungle Scout. To access it, simply log in to your Jungle Scout account and click the Keywords dropdown menu. Then, choose Rank Tracker. From there, you can create a new product group or access an existing one.
When creating a new group, you will need:
- Group name: This can be anything you want. For example, you might name your group “Boots” and have a rain, cowboy, and red boot product you are tracking within that group.
- ASIN: Whether it’s your own or a competitor’s, add specific ASINs to track those products.
- Keywords: What keywords for that ASIN do you want to track? Rank Tracker can pull these from a keyword list (from Keyword Scout), or they can be keywords you enter manually.
Once you’re done, Rank Tracker automatically populates the information for you, and you can instantly see how well your product performs.
The best part? All of this takes no more than a few seconds and a couple of quick clicks with the mouse.
