We’re growing and we are looking to add a Cloud Security Engineer to our fast-paced and customer-oriented Engineering team.

In the Cloud Security Engineer role, you will:
- Design, implement, and maintain multi-account AWS enviroments that promote developer self-service and productivity. You will manage AWS at the enterprise level and implement best-in-class solutions.
Support the creation and management of security controls during SOC2 implementation for our Enterprise application with AWS native security tools like AWS Config, AWS Inspector, AWS Security hub and AWS Cloudtrail.Collaborate with engineering teams to mitigate system vulnerabilities and ensure adherence to security best practices across all of our applications.
- Create and maintain IAM policies, ensuring compliance with the principle of least privilege across our multi-cloud setup.
- Identify cost optimization opportunities within AWS environments by reengineering systems, optimizing resource allocation, and monitoring costs using Reserved Instances and Savings Plans.
- Investigate cost anomaly alerts and work with engineering teams to mitigate impacts. You’ll troubleshoot root causes, such as misconfiguration of resources or rightsizing capacity.
- Maintain secure and efficient AWS Native VPN and network configuration across all environments.
Collaborate with engineering to promote best practices in application monitoring, ensuring optimal performance.
- Lead incident management efforts by providing expertise during critical incidents to ensure the reliability and security of AWS Infrastructure; conduct post-incident reviews and implement preventive measurements.
Who you are:
- AWS Knowledge: Deep understanding of AWS services, including Compute (EC2, Lambda, ECS), Databases (RDS, DynamoDB), and Security Services (Inspector, Config, Security Hub).
- Security-Driven: With experience in deploying security solutions, you ensure that systems are secure and vulnerabilities are addressed.
- Cost Optimization Expert: You’re adept at managing Reserved Instances and Savings Plans, and have hands-on experience identifying and mitigating cost inefficiencies in AWS environments.
- Networking and IaC Skills: You’re proficient in Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation) and comfortable managing secure network configurations.
Collaborative and Enthusiastic: You thrive in cross-functional teams, especially in a startup-like environment, where your contributions drive key initiatives like SOC2 compliance and cost control.
