Amazon seller profits were on the up and up. 85% of Amazon sellers were profitable, and 62% of sellers said they got a profit boost in 2020.

COVID-era ecommerce had a silver lining: business was better for some. 44% of sellers said their businesses performed better than expected due to the pandemic.

Diversifying ecommerce strategies was on sellers’ minds. 39% considered selling on Walmart.com to expand their sales channels.
About the report
Methodology
Between December 1-28, 2020, Jungle Scout surveyed 4,864 Amazon sellers, including prospective and former sellers.
Respondents represent 70 countries, 17 Amazon marketplaces, and all relevant Amazon product categories. They are ages 18 to 80+, as well as all genders and levels of education.
